  • This medicine is used to treat facial hirsutism in women. It contains Eflornithine which inhibits the activity of ornithine decarboxylase enzyme, which is involved in the production of hair follicles.

  • Uses

    Eflornithine is utilized for the following therapeutic indications:

    • Used topically for the reduction of unwanted facial hair (hirsutism) in women.
  • Dosage

    Follow these dosage instructions:

    • Take as per doctor's Prescription.
    • Apply the cream on the affected site at least once daily.
    • Your doctor will determine the treatment length based on your symptom severity.
  • In case of Overdose

    If you think you have applied too much Depilus cream, talk to your doctor. Watch out for symptoms like stinging, burning, tingling sensations, passing out, breathing difficulty.

  • Missed Dose

    If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don't remember missing the dose, don't double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

  • How To Use

    Wash your hands before using the cream, gel, or ointment. Apply the gel topically on the affected area once or twice a day for at least 1-2 weeks.

  • When Not to Use

    You should not use this cream if:

    • You are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients or components of the medication.
    • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    This medication may pose the following side effects:

    • Acne, Dry skin, Hair loss
    • Inflammation around the hair shaft, itching, rash, redness, skin irritation, and bumps caused by shaving, stinging, tingling or burning feeling on the skin
    • Bumpy rash (papular rash),
    • Cold sores
    • Redness and irritation at the site where the cream is applied
    • Eczema
    • Inflamed, dry, cracked, or numb lips
    • Ingrown hairs
  • Precautions & Warnings

    You should practice these cautions before taking the medicine:

    • Talk to your doctor if you have hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any of the components in the medicine.
  • Drug Interactions
